Tom S
In my life, this is the best day to be English and be a pom in Aus. Kick in and Relax wearing your Lions on your Shirt. We only need our jumped up football players to get some pride now?? :kneel:

Scoboblio
Really? The team name says England Anyway don't care, we still won
CJ
Really? The team name says England Anyway don't care, we still won Well, there is a certain bowler called Jones who is definitely Welsh. And one of the most famous captains was another Welshman called Tony Lewis. And yes, it was a great victory.
Scoboblio
Why isn't it called the English and Welsh team? I had no idea to be honest - as proud as I am to be English it seems a bit strange to give the Welsh no credit.
CJ
Why isn't it called the English and Welsh team? . That doesnt excatly roll off the tongue eh? Another famous England captain was Mike Denness and he was a Scotsman

Gamer
2 months for a bunch of South Africans, and even Australians in England shirts to lift something that resembles a piss-pot. Honestly, I wish I had that much free-time.

paul mac
i was off work today and supposed to be starting fitting a new bathroom suite (gotta keep the wife happy) but ended up rivetted to the cricket all day to say it was a roller coaster is an understatement, is cricket the new soccer ? as an ardent footy fan (season ticket for 18 years at man city) i have to admit this test series has been the BEST sporting contest i have ever watched and top respect for them aussies as well, Brett Lee bowling at 94 mph when he knew he was beat - top man
Gamer
I find Cricket to be incredibly boring. A glorious waste of television airtime. I was hoping England would have lost so you would all loose interest again, let's face it the only reason it is enjoyable for you lot now is because you won. The Aussie and South Africans I was referring to are: Petersons = SA Jones = Aus Strauss = SA
Scoboblio
Nope, the reason it's enjoyable is because it's a game with a huge history, and the test matches are proper battles.... none of this over in 90 mins malarky! (I like football too BTW so that wasn't a dig ). It's a sport you can sit down over breakfast / lunch etc and watch Oh and anyone who thinks it's a boring game to play should give it a go.... standing infront of a wicket while some nutcase hurles a rock solid ball at you is scary.... pads or not! I agree that there will now be a lot of glory supporters who will only be interested until the immediate craze disappears... but don't deny the proper supporters their victory! Jake
Gamer, you're an american, right? Do any yanks like cricket? I don't like it either. Dull game. I was home all day doing nothing in particular but I didn't bother watching the cricket.

Gordon F
I watched the last hour or so, and it seemed to end in total confusion, but England won so congrats to them My faith in sport on TV was restored with the Hammers whooping Villa in the Monday night game - makes the Sky subscription worth every penny
