From the dispute he didn't pay with paypal though? He paid with Visa on the website.

They should be able to just refund that, rather than refunding by Paypal (not sure if he has an account or not) i assume not, otherwise the whole thing is a bit pointless as he could have got money back that way.

EDIT - Just seen that he does have a paypal account in the earlier messages,

So Lau, they offered a refund with paypal in the 6th Jan message? why not accept that?

I think the problem is they're asking Lau to do all the running around with PayPal, when the onus should be on them.

Simply from your quotes alone you can see the confusion in this whole debacle.

From what I read he wasn't sure how he paid, he knows he paid through the website but doesn't know if it was via paypal or via card. To that end he has contacted Paypal asking them to look into it to which the response was that they couldn't find the transaction. That alone is mental to me, to not know how you paid over $1000 to someone is just mind boggling.

Find out what was paid, how it was paid and when it was paid. Submit that information to MVP. If it was indeed a credit card, contact the credit card company and make them aware of the situation. If it was Paypal, ask for a refund via the system and let MVP know that you are willing to accept.

I genuinely believe there's a language barrier here as MVP seem to be under the impression that it was paid via Paypal whereas you do not, and your conversation with Paypal, if understood correctly, would agree. Get the facts straight then take it from there. The he said/she said stuff is irrelevant at this moment in time.

You're probably right there Scott actually.

As noble as your intentions are (?) Zaheer, MVP very badly need to be shown to be addressing customer service issues, before they lose all credibility in the Supra community.

From what I can see, Dustys recent words on here were empty promises, they seem to be making no visible effort to make amends.

Why are MVP still allowed on here?

Because the Club is a business and there's not a queue of traders waiting with open wallets.

The resulting MVP ridicule is counter productive and it is past time they were given the boot and replaced with a more reputable US company, there are plenty to chose from.

Well it was voted in(very close) after Dusty explained the situation and that he will be doing more.

So we agreed for 1 more year.

Because PayPal told me they don't see the payment... That's how I remembered that I paid via their website.

Are you sure you didn't use Paypal though? Have you actually traced which card you used? Getting a refund to a card is very straightforward.

From a business point of view what they will want to do is find the original transaction(s) and apply a refund against those very transactions. The problem is if MVP have already 'processed' those funds and they are from a previous financial period it won't be easy for them to do that.

What they should be doing is simply returning all funds owed to Lau by PayPal.

The problem with then balancing the books and allocating the credit note to the original transaction is then their responsibility, as it should be anyway.

I agree with Scott that you should have a better idea of how you paid Lau, but as far as customer service goes from an international firm that has been going for nearly 30 years - this is pretty appalling.

Simply - give the guy his refund and sort it out yourselves.

Let's put An end to all this bs.I'll give you 1000usd for your voucher[emoji41]

I'm tempted, I tried everything and waste A LOT of time stating All the facts again and again.

Whatever the way I paid this, they got the money So how the Hell is it So though to get the money back ??? I have copies of the paid invoices !

I Will - but I'm So tired with this - triple check everything and find wheter it was by PayPal or just Visa on their website even If I don't see how this could be important. They have the money for sure.

There are a few ways around that though, that'll not make it fraudulent.

That may well be the case but I don't think MVP are going to go out their way to make it happen. Would save so much hassle knowing how the payment was made to begin with rather than just guessing to begin with though :D

Just a thought on this, maybe MVP have a PayPal merchant account for managing card payments on their site? We use the same type of account at my work.

That could be causing the confusion, to the buyer there are no indications the payment is being made through paypal, they just pay by card. Regardless tho, refunds are simple to process.

The sole purpose of them getting another shot is to be more involved and sort issues.

And the fact they came on here the other day to advertise parts for a GTR and not a supra is a joke.

I was against them getting the green light for trader status as everything I have seen so far is not fair to the members

The GTR part of your comment is just amazing to me. I've no issue with them advertising it, or making it known that they're selling these parts too as a few members obviously have/ have had these cars and are maybe interested, but you'd still think the main point of any sales on this forum would be Supra orientated.

Was it not Titan that were advertising the GTR ceramic brakes?

I've looked and I can't find anything to suggest that MVP were doing similar.

Not that I think there is anything wrong with Titan, or anyone for that matter, displaying their wares here on the open forum.

I just think there might be some confusion over who did what at the moment and there is nothing to be gained by hanging MVP for something they haven't done.

Correct me if I'm wrong on the whole situation please.
