firin Supra Posted February 7, 2016 Share Posted February 7, 2016 Hi thier iv got a bit of an issue iv taken of my uk suspension to swap to the yellow billies and the dampers are different on the uk you have a rubber gromet that sits at the top of the damper under the rubber sleeve on the jap one you dont so what do i do does the yellow billies need it or not as the rubber gromet just slides all the way down there is no were for it to sit can someone help please weather i need to or is there somthing im missing any help appreciated or if theres a diagram of the yellow billies put together or somthing so i can see for myself to make sence of it thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Chris Wilson Posted February 8, 2016 Share Posted February 8, 2016 Ideally the bump stop cellular foam rubbers should be a tight fit in the top mounts and not drop down. My guess is someone in their infinite wisdom has lowered the car and its been riding on the bump stops a lot (and handling like a rabid dog...). This beats the hell out of the bump rubbers, they become deformed, even broken up, and wont stay in the top mounts any longer, especially on dampers with a smaller top hat spacer. Either live with it, and hope your hearing is not so good as to be able to discern them hopping about, buy new ones, or try and glue them into the recesses in the top mounts.
