I put 4 p zeros on Over the winter with the wheel refurb. Not driven it yet. Can't be that bad can they? Had falcans on b4.

I thought they were terrible compared to the previous toyo proxies .... Buuuuut I did go from 18" to 19" - I'm going to get the geo looked at also

What track tyres do you guys run? Pref. road legal but I will be having a set of rims purely for track. I'm used to Toyo's R tyres but that was a bunch of years ago so want to know whats good today :)

cheers

Tyres I've used in order of preference:

17" Kumho V70A (Hard Compound)(Fr 235/40, Rr 255/40)- Awesome dry grip, ok in the wet, but dead after four day's use, so cost me €200/day!

17" Toyo R888 (Medium Compound)(Fr 225/45, Rr 255/40)- Good grip but quick to overheat, similar to Kumhos in the wet, got plenty of use albeit on a slower version of what I'm driving now.

18" Federal 595RS-R(Fr 255/35, Rr 285/30) - Too cheap not to try at least once but, although not terrible, they don't really excel at anything to be honest, but especially disappointing under braking. I felt they were killing my lap times.

18" Michelin Pilot Sport Cups (Fr & Rr 285/30)- New tyres for this season's Time Attack, haven't had the chance to test them yet but, from the reviews here & elsewhere, I should be happy with them. Not a bad price either considering what I paid for the 17" Kumho tyres.

I use Goodyear F1s, they are very good. Traction is impressive, wet weather especially..

I think the Michi PSS is a cut above in the dry, not in the wet though..

I had Falkens before, they are not in the league of the Goodyear..

Would you say the Michelin PSS compare in the wet to the Goodyears? Last time I had F1's was in late 90's and they were good then.
