Sung Kang's Fugu Z - Datsun 240z

Just seen this article pop up, and thought it would interest a few of you.

With the exception of the overly large arch extensions, I wouldn't change a thing. Even the engine, somewhat unusual in being a normally aspirated RB26 , is exactly what I wanted. (Only available in that form in certain Autech R32 Skylines, the famous Rocky Auto in Japan snap up as many of these as they can and stick the engines in Hakosukas and Z's)

 

I can only imagine how much fun this is to drive. The sound of that ITB and tubular manifold equipped NA RB must be spectacular. Just stunning :cool:

I'd love an old Z. They're far too expensive here at the moment though. There's a company in the UK which makes brand new fibreglass reproduction shells for a few thousand, I think if I was doing a proper build I'd get one of those instead of chopping up a classic.

Which company? Z farm?
