Does anyone think Cameron has achieved anything at all with the EU renegotiations?

Not at all, and I don't think he will. He's a weak and deceitful prime minister who won't dare to stand up to them so all he can do is come up with soundbites and rubbish to keep us in the dark and make it seem like something is happening.

I wasn't expecting much from him, as he's an unashamed EUphile, but miraculously he has managed to get even less than I was expecting.

It wasn't that long ago that he was telling us "immigration down to the tens of thousands. No if's, no but's". Instead we get a scalable emergency brake on migrant benefits. When I say we, I mean the EU parliament gets an emergency brake, that it can use if we can present a good enough reason. This will achieve nothing. We are on course to be the most populated nation in Europe within a few years, even though we are only the 9th largest.

This, and the utter mayhem with the Euro, Greece, the appallingly handled migrant crisis, and the potential Turkish membership and all of the issues that will bring means that I'll be voting out. :)

all your going to get in weak leaders as if you go too harsh you will just get pooped on by your own party as there too soft. non of them will ever been any good just going through the motions and telling you what you want to hear and then stabbing you in the back later on hoping you've forgotten. Any ways we will leave the EU if they send the vote out, I will be surprised if we don't leave to be honest.

Naturally, as a Scot I have an inherent antipathy towards the tories and to whatever hooray henry leader they have at the moment.....

However, you really have to marvel at David Cameron's arrogance in believing that he could push an unpopular deal (in European eyes) through 27 other states and hang an in/out referendum on the deals 'success'.

Personally, I think that there will be a close vote to stay in the EU, with only a few percent in it. This will be close enough that it will create merry hell with the UKIP'ers and the Out voters, pushing the tories into their usual factional struggles, with Cameron jumping early and leaving the tory leadership to Gideon or Boris.

On the bright side, if there is a yes vote, I'll look forward to IndyRef 2, as EC exit is a trigger for the second Scottish Independence referendum!
