MattP
Following what I was talking about a few weeks ago I ordered a set of these red Aluminium pulleys for £35 including delivery which includes the following: Power steering Alternator Water pump Further to this I went for an SRD Idler pulley however when I contacted Lee he informed me they now supply the Powerhouse Racing Idler instead which came in at £100 delivered. Out of curiosity I weighed the standard pulleys using digital scales in comparison to my new aluminium units the results are as follows. Stock power steering pulley: 601g Stock alternator pulley: 272g Stock water pump pulley: 454g Stock Idler: 291g Total= 1.618kg Aluminium Power Steering pulley: 358g Aluminium alternator pulley: 86g Aluminium water pump pulley: 165g Aluminium Idler: 239g Total= 848g Total weight saving= 770g A nice little reduction in weight plus it turns out my idler bearing was on its way out so not a wasted purchase. A few of you may remember I was Adamant I wanted gold I have just dropped them off and it is costing £30 for 7 pulleys to be anodised Gold (I got a spare set) All in this has cost £165 for the 3 pulleys an idler and anodising. I will post the finished pictures in my build thread when I pick them up. And yes the pulleys bare a striking resemblance to Whifbitz pulleys.
