cheekymonkey
I am diagnosing a minor water ingress issue and I am getting water collecting in the rear right corner of the boot. I thought it must be coming in from the spolier bolt holes. I removed the spolier and cleaned a small amount of gunk / moisture from the bodywork and would now like to refit it. Rather that just bolting it on, is it standard practise to use any sort of bonding or sealing agent between the spolier and the boot? Standard spolier btw. cheekymonkey
Update on this, car is now with Mr Whiffin and he says there should be a rubber seal on each side - mine had perished, and hopefully he's going to get me some new ones. JayJay1374
I just ran a bead of silicone around the inside of the spoiler feet, then fired and bolted down. Put some extra around the bolt holes from the inside too. - - - Updated - - - I just ran a bead of silicone around the inside of the spoiler feet, then fired and bolted down.
