does any one run syvecs on twin turbo is it worth it ?

I have just had a engine and turbo rebuild costing an arm and leg so I want to get the most I can out of it but keep it safe as possible

just wondering who else is running syvecs wots your experience with it should I be patient and wait for one to come along or just buy a cheaper alternative

If you have the cash spare to do it then I think there are huge advantages to be had. Worth it is all relative as it's a HUGE outlay for not a lot in regards to power etc. The ECU has so many tricks up its sleeve though and loads of new toys can be added both making the car more entertaining and safer at the same time.

That sounds interesting? Would you mind elaborating for the uninitiated. Does it give you obd2 monitoring?

I'd say it's better than OBD2. It gives you full monitoring via your laptop over the lan connection. Can be fully tweaked, monitored, mapped, configured, etc, etc, etc. There's also head up display options where you can have custom screens showing all manner of diagnostic information.

A lot of money for what will be moderate gains, probably best to speak to someone that maps them as the sequential transition may be difficult to map for.

 

A piggyback ECU such as the Emanage Ultimate would be a lot cheaper and would allow the stock ECU map to be tweaked..

What do you class as OBD2 information? I'm guessing my answer wasn't clear enough for you?

Sorry, I was referring to the emanage ecu this time. The reason I ask is because I'm interested in the gauges that can tap into the information, rather than having loads of different modules measuring different things.

I ran mine in TTC mapped with an eManage blue for a few years, it was only when I did the single turbo conversion I realised just how EXTREMELY laggy TTC is, I'd never advocate it now. If I was doing it again I'd keep the sequential BPU stock turbo setup and use an eManage Ultimate to eek out a bit of extra performance. I'd only invest in a full standalone ECU if money was no object or if going the single turbo route.

Yea but it's the safety features of the syvecs that's appealing to me but don't really want tcc

That's why I'd talk to a mapper first, the stock ECU was developed to handle the sequential transition under all circumstances, I am certainly no expert but TTC or a single turbo will be a lot easier to map for. The stock ECU has proved on many cars that it can safely handle BPU performance levels and there are also many cars running a piggyback ECU to tweak the fuelling and ignition to give a little extra.

Unless your planning on going single in the future I would not bother cost me 3.5k mapped all sensors etc are you really going to warrant that on bpu . If your worried about failsafe Aem do a failsafe gauge http://www.aemelectronics.com/?q=products/gauges/failsafe-gauges/wideband-failsafe-gauge very neat bit of kit full gui interface you can set trips using outputs so it can retard the timing for overboost/ running lean . It will even pull back the boost on the fly if your running a ebc. Oil pressure and fuel pressure go for a spa dual gauge with has an alarm function and output for light / wire into stock hazard so it flashes

So who has a Syvecs totally replacing the stock ECU running stock twin turbos sequentially?

 

Also, who has the above on a VVTi automatic running the gearbox and fly by wire throttle AS WELL?

 

I am shortly to install a Syvecs that the customer hopes will do all this, but I am yet to hear of anyone running this complex configuration.
