The Supra Replacement

Evening All,

Had this since September and I know a few of you have seen it already but I thought I would post what I'm now deeming as my some-what Supra replacement. I have had to compromise in terms of sports coupe and fitting a family in (baby girl due in May) so I have gone for the BMW F10 M5 in monte carlo blue with satin black wheels. I didn't go with the competition pack so it has 552BHP / 502Ibft and with what I've found to be a very nice dual clutch gear box. It is a bit heavy and you can tell on the twisties but handles very well for the type of car it is.

Very happy with it so far and I am ashamed to say that this is the first time since picking it up that I have cleaned her!! (I know this will shock a lot of you!!!)

I will be coming along to some meets in it, going to to a few RWYB events and I wouldn't mind seeing how the 4.4L V8 TT fairs against some Supras!

Have to be honest it is nice to be behind the wheel of something with a bit of go again now!!

Nice bit of kit mate, i raced 1 round the ring and was surprised how well it went for such a big car.

Cheers mate, yeah it does handle well for the size (not had it track mind... yet) I have noticed that the steering settings (in sport plus) do make it feel like a go kart with very light steering. Have had it comfort since testing and it actually gives the most accurate feedback for the bends.

Beautiful car mate!

Cheers dude

Yep, it's a lovely car but waaaaaaaaaay to sensible. Missing the raw feeling of a Supra!

I know exactly what you mean, you get to a point where you want to be able to press a 'raw' button so the car changes to a purer drive :eyebrows:

Really nice car, looks great in MCB. Bit more individual than the normal black that seems to be very popular.

In fact the MCB doesn't look far off the Estoril Blue II colour. Maybe slightly darker/richer than the EBII.

Cheers! When I collected the car it was next to a Estoril Blue II 435 grand coupe, MCB like you say is a darker/richer colour.

Very nice choice, it looks great. Must admit that after getting this Mrs a modern BMW I'm being swayed towards a newer car instead of getting the TT supra back on the road, BMW M series being at the top of the list...

Cheers Darryl, you wouldn't be disappointed, great pieces of kit and very usable power. The suspension, tyre, TC & LSD setup does make the car very usable even in the recent weather, not quite putting all the power down but when the rear does twitch its so controllable (even with TC off :D)
