RichTrdAlsop
I currently have an NA5, and looking to upgrade the box to handle a single turbo gte, circa 6-700bhp. My first thoughts were bite the bullet, and fork out for a 6 speed, but recently ive been warming to the idea of a built auto box, specifically one from SRD. What 'stage' would i need for my power goal? What are people's opinions on pros and cons for each? Any input appreciated.

Yeah I most likely will do when I'm ready to buy, was just wondering if anyone had experience of both and had any advice on them. - - - Updated - - - Isn't Kaanw selling an uprated auto gearbox at the moment? He is, but I'm not ready to yet.

Chris Bailey
Isn't Kaanw selling an uprated auto gearbox at the moment? Kaan's titan box recently sold. - - - Updated - - - I'd recommend getting in contact with Lee at SRD and letting him talk you through options
Chris Wilson
You need to consider where this engine produces useful torque in the RPM range, if it's high up a stock torque converter may not be suitable, and high stall speed ones are just ridiculous in road cars. I would advise you stay with a Getrag six speed for simplicity's sake.
ashloys
600BHP should be safe enough on an R154? Uprated rebuild parts are also readily available from Driftmotion by Marlin Crawler if you do blow it..
