Does the brand of the charger makes any difference or should i just go and buy a halfords one?

MATT RR
I went for this one, only £25 from halfords so not expensive, been using it for well over a year and had no problems http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs-blades-batteries/car-battery-chargers/halfords-maintenance-charger
Shane
This one works absolutely fine as a trickle charger, quite sophisticated for the price too, samples and charges as required and unlike many others on the market it still uses a transformer, rather than a switch mode PSU. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p17423

Anything can break or stop working at any time. I have a toolstation nearby and can pick one up later. Have you or anyone used this? Trying to google reviews on it but nothing is coming up so far.
