Style
Big turbo, are you looking to make big power? And what's a "subota"? 2jz Subaru?

Guest jaybhp
Yes sabota is my 2jz in a scooby project The plan is to go for around 600-700 to start with then build up from there. Timlowthian
That looks like it going to be fun! You have a build thread anywhere to follow?
Guest jaybhp
Not as of yet, keeping some bits for the mag shoot. Thanks though So has anyone run one yet?? of the efr 9180
j_jza80
It's a 1000hp turbo. It will be laggy compared to a smaller turbo that is rated to 700hp.
Guest Budz86
EFR series don't seem to be that popular on here for reason, although I've seen others run them in other cars. Did you have a questions about them or turboing a 2J? Might just be best to fire away as unless it's specific to that turbo, there's plenty of knowledge and people on here to help ☺ Oh, a finally a Scoob that will sound good! Nice idea for a project. Be sure to take loads of pics and do a thread at some point, will be an interesting read
Guest jaybhp
Yeah the plan is to go after the big 1k after we've spent some time in the car, there rate 700-1000 and I hear they spoll early so should be ok. Yeah Budz thats my question just wondering if anyone has run one or a reason why not??
j_jza80
Probably because there aren't that many 1000hp Supras in the UK, and Whifbitz are the only major UK Supra tuner that pushes Borg Warner. These days Precision are the most popular brand on here.
Guest jaybhp
Ok, after a conversation yesterday I'm going to go with the 9180 on a 6boost manifold and get the turbo worked for a nitrous fan shot.
Guest Budz86
Watching with interest as both bits of kit seem to have good results and a wide following on other Japanese sites (Skyline Owners like 6boost stuff and the Evo crowd like the EFR series) but neither are popular on here. Good luck fella and keep us updated
