EdMorris
I'm trying to troubleshoot why my washers don't work. Thought they were just blocked but its not that. Lots of fluid, so its not that. Pipes all seem ok and no leaks from anywhere, so don't think its that. Switch in stalk appears to work as the wipers start when the stalk is pulled, so don't think its that, however I don't get a motor/pump sound. The rears work fine and I get the motor/pump sound. All the fuses appear ok. So, are there separate pumps for the front and rear washers? I always thought is was just one to run the whole system. Perhaps there is a problem at the stalk control after all? I'm at a loss, any help appreciated. Thanks.
Nic
May be a silly question but are you pressing the washer button on the end of the stalk? Pulling the stalk only activates the wipers.

CorruptSapphire
I had this before. Basically the pipe comes off the washer itself. Lift the bonnet and then try the washer if water runs from the bonnet you know the pipes have come off. You cant see them in the skin of the bonnet and with the heat shield in the way. Having just re read your question you may want to ignore may solution. Looking st a service manual there seems to be just one motor for the washer bottle Edited January 28, 2016 by CorruptSapphire (see edit history)
EdMorris
Hahaha. I win numpty of the year award. Just been out and they work fine when I press the right bloody control. I have no defence, but it has been yrs since I needed to use them. My other car you just pull the stalk. The really embarrassing bit is that I phoned Lee earlier and left a message. Ha ha, if ya read this sorry Lee. Clearly wasn't my day today, cocked up fitting some rear suspension parts too.
