Guest Terry S
Received this today when trying to bid on something. Not sure I fancy letting them have my card details. Does anyone know a way around this?? Increase Your Activity Limits To help protect your eBay account, we limit the amount of items that can be bought or sold by a single account at one time. You can increase the activity limits on your account by taking one or more of the following actions: Verify using a Credit Card Process is immediate and your card will not be charged. Important: only available for Visa Credit and Mastercard. Protect your eBay Account: eBay will never ask you to enter your personal information - such as credit card number, password, or other -- in an email. Guest Terry S
This was Ebay, when I enter a bid now it says my limits have been reached, and asks for verification.
how_supra
Seems weird. How many things are you bidding you? Or have listed? I have over 30 things listed on ebay at the moment.
Guest Terry S
have none listed and have bid on 3 things in the last week.
Guest Terry S
oh and my total ebay score is
how_supra
That sounds like rubbish then. I know for a fact that James bids on more than 3 things a day sometimes. Unless your feedback score affects it. But that wouldn't make sense would it?
Guest Terry S
Feedback is 100%. Never sold anything on there either. I will try and contact them but from past experience they are crap.
garethr
Go to eBay Help and search for activity limits http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/activity-limits.html
Matt Harwood
Terry, give Matt a call-we had to do this a while ago. It wasn't anything to do with how many items, as far as I can recall it was more to do with how much money had gone through. We had to verify our account to be able to continue. tbourner
Yeah I had to verify mine as well, easy enough to do. Now a full member.

how_supra
Interesting. Maybe they are going to ask me? Is this to verify your paypal or your ebay account?
Supra_Nish
Yep you have to verify your account once you reach certain limits. Its not to do with feedback or listings etc. Can't remember exact figure but its when your transactions hit over £500-£1k a month. I think they asked me for a credit/debit card or set up of direct debit.
