garetheves
As some of you are aware me and my girlfriend had an offer accepted on our first house back in May and eventually finalised last weekend so am now an official home owner (try saying that last sentence fast around an entire rugby team and you can imagine the looks and comments i got when i did just that). Its been a long and fristrating time coming, all of the holdups were completely out of our control and were the fault of the other people in the chain, but these things happened and its all sorted now. Picked up the keys last weekend and spent the evening of last week stripping paper and paint etc. Got this week off work to decorate and then hopfully can move in next weekend. Must say im well excited, gonna be a shame moving away from family and friends but its only 30 mins away so not really a problem. If anyone in the Wigan area knows a good plumber, or indeed any members that may be a plumber, we need someone to come and fit a new bathroom for us ASAP and we are struggling to get hold of a plumber at the moment. Help is, as always, much appreciated. Only prob with the house is that there isnt a driveway so the Supra isnt going to be living there, thats staying at the girlfriends parents house round the corner on a very posh estate and a very long driveway, nice and safe. Im thinking i might have to have an owners club party/BBQ at some point in the near future and see how many we can get lined up along the street. Well just thought id share that with you all. Wish me luck in my week of decorating (not even got a kettle yet so cant have regular brews, but have got a TV so can watch us whip the aussies tomorrow and get the ashes back) and start being nice to me if you want an invite sometime soon

Rob
I've posted this years ago, but it's worth the re-post IMO. Whenever I get the "Can you do mine next?" hilarity, i.e. every weekend, one day I will retort "Yes of course I can, I'll be fucking my wife later too, shall I pop round and do yours as well?" garetheves
welcome to the club of pleasing your self when you get up. By this im assuming you are talking about what time i can get up, not that i can now "please" myself when i wake up.

I thought he meant that!! I need to move out asap but there's no chance of us affording it at the moment - we bring in enough money between us but just cannot get a decent mortgage it's stupid!! garetheves
We had the same problem. Its so annoying, we dont make massive money between us but we are in Professional jobs that are secure for life and yet we still struggled to get a mortgage for something other than a shed. Its gonna be a testing time to see if i can afford to run the supra as well but we will have to see. Not gonna use it much at all, especially over the winter and then will get finances sorted for summer.
