evinX
My Supra may be in need of some suspension parts as it has a knock so ill be investigating this over the weekend no doubt in the cold & wet So these could be the cause, Upper control arm - Stupidly priced by Toyota, but the noise I'm getting isn't like a busted knuckle sound Rear drop links - always thought these would need changing anyone used these? seem well priced http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Supra-JZA80-3-0-Turbo-None-Turbo-Rear-Drop-Links-x-2-/360847639305?hash=item5404320309:g:43gAAOxydlFS5~UJ Or any other links to blue print/ well priced drop links? cheers, Kev
ripped_fear
IIRC the drop links from MrT are not to expensive anyway, Id go OEM
Scooter
Are your shocks original?
evinX
Are your shocks original? KYB gas adjusts, all round and fitted recently. I had the dreaded knock from my old shock, but this is definatley a metallic thud I'm getting this time
evinX
Bumping this, thought it might be helpful to other members. Ordered me some Febi Bilsteins, my mechanic has used their parts any times so decided to use these, much cheaper than Toyota. Any where I can, I use aftermarket OEM brands that make quality products as imo Toyota are a little high. Rear drop link RH - Febi Bilstein 42959 - Toyota 48830-14050 Rear drop link LH - Febi Bilstein 42966 - Toyota 48840-14030 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311485213614?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191738124695?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Kev

evinX
Let us know how you get on and it they cure your noise Had a the car checked out, the rear left was knackered, could move it by hand. Replaced today and the knock has gone. Well happy. Googled images of the febi drop links compared to Toyotas and they look exactly the same build wise. Going to do the fronts in the summer as is cheap enough to
jim
I've bought those drop links from that seller for my previous supra, the place is only a few miles away from where I live - they were spot on
JackyBoi
I also have a thud/knocking noise coming from my rear left suspension. Whifbitz fitted a new upper arm but it didn't do anything. Could it be the drop links?
David P
Could be dodgy drop-link or a failing shock absorber?
ben_harmer32
I'm guessing they shouldn't move at all then? I can wriggle mine side to side by hand I also have a knock from the rear.
Scooter
no they do move like that I think as they are ball jointed both ends....it's if the actual joins are worn that the knock (again I think) and I'm not sure if you can tell that by hand with them joined to the anti roll bar and so in tension/compression. JackyBoi
Could be dodgy drop-link or a failing shock absorber? The old rear left shock was knackered, fitted new BC Racing coil overs and upper arm at the same time, knock is still there
welshboy
I may as well do these whilst replacing the shocks. Cheers for the links (again)

Sheefa
How you getting on with these Kev? I got a pair of new drop links that aren't Toyota and not keen on fitting them. These seem good for the price. Interested to hear your experience with them.
