Style
I've just returned to a stock front bumper and noticed I'm missing the foam absorber that goes between bumper and crash bar. Just wondering if these are essential or if I can do without it? I've searched the subject on here and found very little on them so I'm guessing they aren't that important. But just thought I'd check as it seems like a pretty decent safety device to have.
evinX
Essential. If you don't have them after a while of driving without one the bumper will 'sink' go and touch the area on the bumper and see how its flimsy...should be firm with the foam behind it. Style
Off to Mr T I go then Thanks for that, did think it would be there for a pretty good reason. There's a Wanted thread up for one but doesn't seem to have any interest. They're not too expensive to buy new

Need to wait for the new front end Does yours have a crash bar? if yes you can still use the foam, if not you cant use it because the foam sits on the crash bar

Style
It's en route from Toyotya just now. I ordered a bunch of other parts and they just gave me a price on the lot. But I'll let you know when the invoice comes in and I collect the parts, should be Saturday if they've arrived by then
