Well seeing as most of this is happening behind the scenes and the media is really poor at reporting it (probably deliberately) then it's no wonder people don't have a clue

stevie_b
In regards to the EU? Yep. The EU political structure can be incredibly wasteful, but I don't see it as dangerous.
j_jza80
EU expansionism stoked the flames of the Ukraine conflict. And now, without any consultation, Merkel has given assurances to Turkey about progressing it's entry application. The same Turkey that shares a border with Syria, Iraq and Iran. A border we know to be porous. That's in addition to the dangers presented by the ever more authoritarian President Erdogan, who is transforming Turkey from a liberal secular nation to a conservative religious one. The EU Schengen zone has allowed criminal gangs, migrants, refugees and terrorists to cross national borders unchallenged. And God only knows how bad people trafficking is on the continent now. A quick Google of 'EU army' and 'EU drones' will show you everything you need to know about attempts to create an EU army. And do we really want to hand control of our foreign policy, defence, diplomatic channels etc over to an unelected president, and back room beurocrats in a different country? Even if we do, doesn't that make Westminster obsolete? In the current climate of Europe; economic stagnation, high unemployment, failing currency, migration crisis, Russian and Turkish aggression on our borders etc, the EU is extremely dangerous.
