Supra_Al Posted April 5, 2003 Share Posted April 5, 2003 I was looking at the foot pedals and noticed that on the clutch pedal lever, there is a switch just like the one for the foot brake which i know is for the brake lights. Just a guess...........is this for when you put the car in reverse you get a beep? BTW my switch is disconnected.....and i don't have a beep! Al. It may be for the US markets where the car won't start unless the clutch is depressed, to prevent the idiots starting in gear and running into something / someone. When you say disconnected, do you meant there is a piece of wiring for it hanging nearby, or is there just a switch, but no apparent piece of loom near it? Matt Harwood Posted April 5, 2003 Share Posted April 5, 2003 I'd have a guess that it's a switch to turn off cruise control. You wouldn't want your rpm bouncing off the limiter if you were cruising at 70, then pushing the clutch down.
