Tyson
Looking at getting a new daily driver and wanted to know your opinions. Looking at something a year old or new around the size of a focus with 5 doors and a diesel. Contenders so far are Megane, focus or a Leon. Anyone heard any horror stories or know of any fantastic offers ?? Only have a 500 for deposit and 250 max a month. Fire away :
JasonR24
I just got myself a bmw 120d and they are really nippy little cars. I'm getting mine remapped soon so should see over 200bhp and an ever bigger increase in torque. They are a solid little car and rear wheel drive so can't complain at all. Scott
Ford all the way IMO. I can't see past them value for money wise. We've had a Mondeo for a few years now and I would highly recommend the new ones. Focus, just as good and no worries with the warranty etc.

Havard
I would be having a good look at Focus, Kia Ceed, BMW 1 series or A Class Merc, if I were looking for a newish, small car. H.
Tyson
Unfortunately anything German is out of budget unless it's done stupid miles. Love the focus but Renault have some amazing deals on the Megane as they are bringing out the new model soon and want to clear the old shape out. Tyson
Check out the country of origin first Yes I know it's French but it will be on pcp so by the time things go wrong I'll have given it back and be in another car Anything before that will be covered under warranty

The resale value of them is going to be bottom dollar.

I think now it's just going down to price, brand new focus is out so it will be a 15 plate, the leon will be a 64 plate or I can have a brand new 16 plate Megane gt nav line for 250 a month including gap with a 239 deposit ..... Does it sound like I'm sold already

Havard
But the Megane is French Mike..!! I ran a 52 plate Laguna for three years. That taught me not to ever have a French car again and I have stuck to it. Nice looking car at the time and great to drive on the motorway, terrible reliability and electrics though.
