G9RGE
I have managed to get myself a complete active spoiler setup, including ecu and switch. Yesterday I managed to fit tell spoiler and the tray and found the plug to connect it too. Today I'm trying to find the wiring for the ecu and the switch but I have traced everywhere I can see and am beginning to think that maybe mine doesn't have the wiring. I have a 1998 auto Na . Can anyone give any advise Thanks
j_jza80
It's in the dash, around the stereo and transmission tunnel area. Sometimes it's pretty well tucked away. You will need to remove the stereo to fit the ecu to the bracket in the back of the dash, so of you haven't done already get the radio out
mc92
I think I've found mine's ECU plug, it was tucked up and hidden behind the hazard lights switch area. If yours doesn't have them it's pretty simple to make up a switch for manual control.
zaheer0027
The best thing you can do in a case like this is buy an rmm lip and sell me your active spoiler setup [emoji16] I'm after one for a long time now.

Ha ha I actually have a brand new rmm that I ordered before I found the active spoiler forsale. MC92.. I did find the ecu plug tucked up in the loom near the hazard switch but I couldn't free enough wire for it to dip down to behind the stereo. But no matter how much tracing I did I couldn't find the wiring for the switch :-(

mc92
Strange that you can't find the switch plug, I'm sure it's tucked away in some obscure location. It should be attached to the spoiler ECU via pins 2, 3 and 10 so if you can follow those back you'll hopefully find where they go and what's at the end of them. If they exist it must be in there somewhere. Here's an image if you hadn't found it already: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.betts/supra/TechTips/spoiler5.gif
inazone
Count yourself lucky! When I tried to retro fit my front spoiler I had the plug at the front bumper but nothing else. I fabricated a complete loom and managed to tap into various points around the car to get working as oem. I think half of it was luck, but it was worth the effort! Really can feel the difference when the spoiler comes down.
