JamesG
Optimax £1.01 Thursday here £1.09 today. A local Total garage has run out of fuel today. Has it gone up that much since Saturday?! I paid 99.9 for Optimax on Newmarket Road yesterday.

Steve W
Sorry to SEMI-hijack Paul..... does TESCO actually MAKE fuel ? ? ? Keep seeing about their 99Ron, but, didn't realise they'd gone into petroleum production ? ! ? WHOSE petrol IS IT ??? (open to correction of course ! ) ThickyFatS. Steve W
Same question about ALL supermarket fuel really . . . i'd always assumed (DANGEROUS ! !) that the supermarkets bought it off the main producers ? (and always WORRIED that it was cheaper for a "REASON" ??? )
michael
What annoys me more than the actual price is the way they up the price of the same petrol - the tanks are full one day and it's £x, the next day it goes up to £x despite it being the same stuff. They shouldn't be allowed to change the price until it all runs out and new, more expensive, stuff is delivered. And as shown where I live they deliver to a garage in one location and it's one price and then they take the same stuff to another one a couple of miles away and it's a couple of pence more or less for the exact same stuff. If Tesco did that with black pudding there would be a riot.
Matt Harwood
I have no idea who makes it, but I've used the Tesco 99 ron stuff for quite a while now, and running at 1.5 bar, I've seen no noticable difference in EGT's at long haul full throttle runs compared to Optimax. Works for me, especially at 94.9p and it's very local to me too!
terribleturner
A local Total garage has run out of fuel today. I noticed on the way home this morning our local Esso had a que stretching down the road :eek

Ewen
Tescos fuel alledgedly comes from Esso, aledgedly with additives removed to keep costs down....Essos fuel alledgedly sometimes comes from various origins, shared by others such as Shell, BP etc, depending on areas supplied and quantities purchased.....the info on the internet is a web of miss-information, but I havent seen an Esso outlet selling 99 octane ??
