craig l
Needing some help with my 57 plate audi s5, only had it 3 months done less than 1000 miles, its a 2 door and they wont open from the outside after unlocking them. I have to use the key for convenience mode that opens the windows then open from the inside, but its been frosty up here so the windows have been frozen shut. Had to get my neighbours kid to climb in through the boot, I have a years nationwide warranty but im hoping its something simple.
Spunkmeyer
Ok had this recently. Sounds a crap answer but after a while it dries out and works normally - did for me anyway. Mine lasted 2-3 weeks.
Spunkmeyer
As long as you can get in reliably like with the down windows just bear with it for a few weeks. It's better than handing to a garage on warranty or not it's a ball ache
craig l
The problem is the cold weather I wont be able to get in the car if the windows are frozen, my pals an auto sparky might get him to have a look and claim it on the warranty. Ric
I have this on my S5, it's the sensors in the door handles for the Advanced key, it unlocks the door but the door handle acts as if it's locked still. Lock and unlock a few times it usually works. The owners club for that suggests some white grease on the sensor (i havent done this) i had new sensors done at audi was about 130 if i remember. (warranted)
craig l
Thanks ric finally got an answer the audi dealer didnt know what would cause that not sure if I believe that though, ill give unlocking it a few times a try first.
MattP
This must be one of the only problems I have not had with my A5.
Havard
I thought Audis were bomb proof. Cold weather does play havoc with a lot of locking mechanisms though.

More electrics more problems i expect Although in the 5 years i've had mine, the door sensors is the only issue i've had.
Chris Wilson
I told the wife not to bother with a Christmas tree this last year, we'd just sit in her TT and look at all the warning lights that increased in number almost daily. Too many gizmos, and as we know, gizmos spell trouble and expense when they gizmo no more.
