Jam127
Looking at the japspeed one at £59.99. Anyone had experience with one of these or any advice on them etcc.. Obviously only want to get one if its going to treat the gearbox right. Thanks, j
ripped_fear
Search it here but the short shifter kits don't get great reviews, supposed to ruin the feel of the gearboxes, making them allot more clunky, and the delete of the lift up reverse on the 6 speed is a little dangerous. I was lucky enough to get hold of a brand new genuine TRD one for the 5 speed but never fitted it in the end.
Chris Wilson
A LONGER lever with a LONGER throw transforms the 6 speed Getrag. Toyota went too short a lever, with too short a throw, presumably for fashion reasons. If you dare to be different go the other way.
a98pmalcolm
I had one, It snapped! Not sure if it was a Japspeed one though. The way they are set up isn't great. There an adjustable limiting screw that prevents you going into reverse with shifting, that was always a pain in the ass. Was a lot better once I went back to stock. I would not recommend it Edited January 10, 2016 by a98pmalcolm (see edit history)
