Dnk
Why do you need that version? I have one and it sharpens knives perfectly hence I want another one to give to my mother, $14 in the US and £34 here in the UK
Chris Wilson
There must be plenty of IS or IS wannabes in the west midlands, they seem pretty good with sharpening knives or even bigger bladed implements I'll let you find one and ask though
Graham1984
Personally if mine were really blunt I'd get them sharpened (a lot of butchers/hotels etc have someone come round now and then to do it on a wheel) and then just maintain them with a knife steel. I've never been a fan nor rate the other tools.

I guess you've not used the one i'm on about then, if it wasn't any good I wouldn't be looking to get another one

Dnk
I used to be a chef so was required to keep knives sharpened to a good degree for work via hand. Then you know its not that simple to do, this little gadget works a treat, especially good for me seeing as my left arm doesn't work so sharpening knives isn't very easy I can stick this on the work surface and leave it there, then simply draw any knife i'm using through it and it's back to being very sharp again, safely and simply

Saying that you only have use of one arm makes a massive change in my opinion though
