PCI car slot into a bank of slots, Depends on what motherboard you have it is usually the type of slot that is the most abundant.

make sure the computer is off and power unplug and try plug it in, it won't fit if it is the wrong one and don't force anything it will break if you do.

Doesnt look like you've got any room left mate, I think it will have to go directly in place of your exhisting graphics card...

Remove the crew holding your card in, (the one the monitors plugged into) and swap for the new card - power up again and go through installing the drivers - Got a new cd with it too????

Let me know, I can pop round and give you a hand if you like! ! !

The white slots

and take out the card on the brown slot and take out the blanking slot behind the white slot for the card exit ports

why did you buy a PCI card not the AGP which is the one in your computer already?

coz i am thick OK

only joshing, i never done this before i didnt know there was any differnce the AGPand pci, the agp is the one i should have replaced didnt know that, do now but could i take that pout and put in a pci graphics card will this make any difference?

both would do the same thing as to put graphic on your monitor but an AGP card have faster bus/transfere rate and desgined specially graphic card.

looking at your AGP card there with a passive heat sink the PCI card would still be much better. you bought it for playing games?

AGP is better thats all but the PCI will work.

I have guessed you want to play BF2 from reading the other thread.

I am a bit out of touch in computer stuff as I have not upgrade since 2003! but I thing the card you got may not be good enough. I still think is better than your last one as this one got more memory on the card.

I think you need a card with 256 meg MINIMUM to run that game m8y, and what CPU do you have? You need a bitch of a PC and graphics card to run it.

can't be right? I think you will need 256 meg to do a 30+ fps constantly but to play it you will get away with lesser ones? This is the reason I am still playing CSS and didn't buy my copy of BF2.....

I so need the upgrade and I am looking to buy 2nd hand 9800 pro ATI....don't laugh , I am skint and saving up for car parts upgrade and wedding

Yeah, just noticed that on the box. But you do need one with a particular type of pixel shader.. there are many graphics cards that it just wont run on.

This is from their website:

VIDEO

Video card must have 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets:

NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or greater

ATI Radeon 8500 or greater

To find what CPU you have, it should either show u at startup, or u can do right mouse button on my computer and then properties, its on the general tab.
