Mark brooks
I have a totally stock 1996 j spec, I'm on the process of getting bpu components Full exhaust system with double decat Air filter Fuel pump FCD Boost controller Can I push more boost if I ran hybrid turbos with the stock j spec fuelling or would they be near maxed out at bpu? j_jza80
You'd really want 550cc injectors, so you'd need to run a piggyback at least to get the most from it.
Mk4Gaz
Mark, you're in Hockley right?
tooquicktostop
I ran 440 bhp on hybrids bpu with syvecs and an uprated fuel pump
Scott
BPU jspec will still hit 10AFRs so there's definitely headroom.... not sure how much though as you don't want them running at 100% if you can avoid it. It really depends on how you drive the car though.
Mark brooks
Yes I'm in Hockley, I'm planning on keeping it original so don't want to go to far. Thank you for your help
Chris Wilson
In theory, with a fairly lean map, 550 BHP at the flywheel. You'd not be able to get near that with hybrid stock turbos.
sideexitsupra
I saw 421BHP on my BPU J-spec. Thought it was enough for road use, for a month or two...
