When buying a used car what best hpi check do you use

Hi, looking at buying a use car but want to run a few checks to make sure it's has no hpi or been involved in an accident before I comment to buy, what's the best hpi check people are using as I read the some hpi check services are rubbish and are just ripping you off, I've done the mot history check thanks

You can do any check you like, it doesn't prove 100% that a car has not been in an accident, even quite a

serious one.

Yeah I want it more for the hpi to make sure there's no outstanding finance on the car, I'm quite good at spotting if a car had any paint work done and checking the panel gaps

I've used the AA car check in the past and its got an accuracy guarantee that comes with it.

Also make sure you check under the boot floor, I found a couple of cars which were HPI clear but clearly from under the boot had been involved in a rear end.

Think you need to look everywhere you can, just look at the BMW I mentioned recently with £14,000's worth of repair cost

and not on the register
