Radio scanner Uniden UBC125xlt - Anyone experience using these or similar scanners.

at chrimbo I received of one these sets for monitoring radio communications between aircraft and ground control for Airshows and monitoring local flying air traffic.

They're also able to listen into police radio,.. which is erm, quite interesting,... although not sure on legalities of this.

 

Have any of you guys experience of using similar device?

Needs some help setting up with close call capture.

 

Basically I just want to scan and lock onto the nearest radio traffic to identify what's flying above me.
