liam1
agreed to px my range rover for a z4 due to pick it up tomorrow, last month took my RR to land rover as my engine warning light came my diagnostic tool threw up two error codes, had a free health check LR said it was left bank running lean?, they cleared the codes and said keep an eye on it as its running perfectly fine , anyway the garage im getting the z4 from test drove mine said they were happy with no issues, ive took it out tonight to put some petrol in and the engine light has come back on, I can clear the fault codes myself and go ahead with the px and play dumb if the light comes back on but im not that type of person I think the honest thing to do is tell the garage tomorrow and see if he wants to go ahead I think honesty is the best policy. Havard
Remove the code and smile. There is probably something wrong with the Zed so you can call it quits. Honesty with dealers is never a good policy. It's a RR anyway, they will be expecting something to go wrong with it. H.
GazDoran
If it was a private sale, then yes, honesty is the best policy...I wouldn't want to take advantage of a "normal" person. But a dealership/garage? Nah - Take the car, px away and play dumb if need be! Any px or purchase they make carries a degreee of risk, it's too be expected!
