Spunkmeyer
Hi All - have a serious itch for a PS4 (still on my Gen 1 PS3), since my brother told me how awesome Star Wars Battlefront is. So I had a butchers at what's around at the moment Not a fan of ebay for electrical items and actually don't offer much of a saving as £215-50ish for 500gb with games. Reconditioned £200 PS4s from Amazon are the 500GB - old model and no games, so can waste £75-80 on the games aftwerwards Best ive seen normally advertised is this bundle at John Lewis £330: Getting the upgraded 1tb PS4 (CUH-1200 series); with Battlefront + Fifa16 + a cheap £20 Game: http://www.johnlewis.com/sony-playstation-4-console-1tb-star-wars-battlefront/p2307442 Its certainly been a while since I bought a console - so I'm wondering whether you get much price reduction on consoles in the "January Sales"? Do retailers have much room to discount consoles (whereas TVs etc can come down quite abit). Wondering whether to wait or just go get this one? (I'm after Battlefront + Need for Speed (if possible) in the 1tb new series box) Mucho Gracias on any suggestions

a98pmalcolm
Better deal at game. You get more items http://www.game.co.uk/en/playstation-4-1tb-with-star-wars-battlefront-the-last-of-us-remastered-2-month-now-tv-movies-pass-904864?categoryIdentifier=737200&catGroupId= But the 500GB model will be fine for you. You can have ample games installed with loads of apps and lots of saved game play. If you found you wanted to upgrade the HDD in years to come its a 5 min job on the PS4 just 1 screw. They designed it so its super easy to access. Theres some amazing deals at game like this with £150 worth games http://www.game.co.uk/en/playstation-4-500gb-with-star-wars-battlefront-uncharted-collection-just-cause-3-2-month-now-tv-movies-pass-918605?categoryIdentifier=737200&catGroupId= Have a look fella http://www.game.co.uk/en/hardware/playstation-4-ps4-consoles/?inStockOnly=false&merchname=topnav-_-PS4-_-Consoles
bebby
Ps4 storage isn't really s drama because you will probably need to upgrade the hard drive size. I've just upped mine to 2tb and it's an easy 10-15 minute job. Plus it took me a year and 15 games to max my 500gb
cered
http://www.game.co.uk/en/playstation-4-1tb-with-star-wars-battlefront-the-last-of-us-remastered-2-month-now-tv-movies-pass-904864?categoryIdentifier=737200&catGroupId= Get this ^^ Last of us is fantastic, half video game, half cinema. Only downside to my PS4 (had since launch) so far is you have to pay £40 a year to play online - but you do get a buttload of free games, not even old titles, ones that still sell new for about £25-£30 (e.g. Last year they were giving away Assassins Creed Black Flag and Uncharted, another fantastic game) And sometimes after an update the CD tray glitches up so it opens up randomly during a game and then doesn't recognise the disk. but there's a few remedies for this, for me just rebooting the system works fine and has only happened with Battlefield 4 for some reason,. Other than that, worth every penny. I have a gaming PC too but the ease of use with PS4 is well worth having even as just a blue ray player
Spunkmeyer
Cheers all. The JL deal has gone, replaced with 1tb battlefront for £290. Have LoU on PS3 but haven't really started it yet. Maybe that answers my question... Get on with the stuff I have first Merry Xmas all
Tricky-Ricky
I recently bought a 500gig white box (reconditioned) unit from Argos for £199 and got Fallout 4 for £25, don't know if the offer is still on.
Marcus GTE
Sorry to break the news but the PSN & Xbox live have been hacked again and have been taken down for the 2nd year in a row. Lots of dissapointed kids tomorrow morning when they realise they can't get online. The groups that do this are nothing better than criminals. Marcus GTE
oh really. what ass holes. Is that the phantom squad or what ever there called? Yeah that's the same group that seem to be claiming responsibility. Them and anonymous. No they haven't, it's still working fine :/ Glad yours is working! I think you'll be in the minority, so enjoy it! Check Twitter. If last year is anything to go by it was up and down before it was fixed. Hopefully they are better prepared to sort it this time. I don't go off Twitter, as its mainly full of attention seeking whores that will do anything for a retweet. Also couldn't find anything on the psn websites, or forums or other media. And most of my mates are online when I was on

Marcus GTE
Awesome, glad to hear it Sorry if it was a false alarm, I'm at work but before I left I couldn't get online as the network was down and searched Twitter and it's full of PSN down chat etc. Great news if it's either been fixed/ or it was a prank.
