Brazil
Why does when everyone builds a supra they sell it after little use? Is it possibly that people that build supra's love the challenge and they just can't sit still and enjoy the car? I only recently got my car running again, its running like never before, sounds so nice its way more eye catching than a Ferrari or Lamborghini in my opinion and typically has twice the power. I think its way more exotic than a luxury exotic like the ferrari's and lambo's.

So they have to sell to pay it off. I know building a car like this is beyond most people's reach financially.

robby a
You mean srd built it. I'm not knocking Kaan for what he's created. I'm just saying building a car like that costs a lot of money. Money that most people don't have just lying around. If he's built it using disposable income then good on him. He's fortunate to be able to do that. I'm just saying most people would have to get into some sort of dept to build a car to that quality and spec. Don't misinterpret my first post. It was said tongue in cheek. I'm not dissing anyone here[emoji849]
Luxluc
Kaans Supra is a big credit to his own dedication and the great workmanship of SRD and Baldy. I hope it finds a new home without being broken .... however I fear it won't. Good luck Kaan : your Supra is an amazing machine
Hemanhead
You mean srd built it. And SRD modify mine? I could do 80% of it myself but for people like Kaan and I perhaps it's more cost and time effective to send our cars to Lee and goto work. I really don't know why people kick people for sending their car to a specialist. Yet to see a homebuilt 1000bhp+ tearing about on a dragonball. - There are absolutely loads of people out there with enough money to do this but they would rather buy a 997 turbo, we are just a minority. Simples.

You've got to love the speccing and search for parts to like building a huge spec car. People who love doing that, often (yep, there's always exceptions but for most examples) don't get as much enjoyment out of driving it.

Is it possibly that people that build supra's love the challenge and they just can't sit still and enjoy the car? Probably yes. They like the fun sourcing parts and building, then when it's done it's done... they get bored and move on. I don't get it myself but each to his own. A 1000 bhp Supra will always cost lots of cash to build .... certainly when done right. All of us spend money on something ; some on girls, some on holidays .... and some on Supra's : just a matter of priorities.

I know building a car like this is beyond most people's reach financially. I would not say that ... I have not spent as much as Kaan on my Supra but when mine was done I almost sold mine, I have done it in the past .. Nothing to do with money as you only intent to spend it on another car... Sometimes it's all the hard work, stress of the project.. Once completed you don't feel the same way about the car.. It's very easy to say that most people can't build a car like this .. That fact is you can if you REALLY wanted ..people don't see all the hard hours of over time people put in, all the sacrifices people do to help build what they want to build.. They just see the end product and say he's in debt .. Or someone must of died to help him build that etc Sorry I'm not having a pop lol and I do say to other people why go through that then sell it but i forget I know what it feels like lol
chazuk
I think there becomes a limit with a supra resale value regardless if it's had more spent on it than the cost of a Gallardo when it comes to sell they struggle another example is Ibhar's. I remember reading a post in Kaan's build it was 60k in and that was way before it was finished! Must be taking some hit on selling this glws

Parry_10
I would only ever build a car on disposable income that's the best way imo. But everyone is different so who cares what other people do it's their life...
Rob_Mitchell
This thread is a joke with people's opinions and accusations. Best of luck kaan on either decision I 'know' the next car is epic!
Graham1984
This thread could do with a mod tidy up. All the best anyway Kaan. As long as you're happy with what you get (either selling as a whole or parts) that's the main thing
Brazil
All I know is that from my experience I would rather buy a ready built Supra with all the bits you like you will save a fortune in money and time. Its not that much fun not having your 'favorite toy' stuck in a garage for months/years knowing you are wasting precious youth when you should be tearing up the streets and enjoying the car!
