Air ride or air bag suspension

I have this fitted to my Supra, one switch raises or lowers the car on air, the pump and tank are in the void for the spare wheel

Its not really a void, the spare wheel is supposed to be there.

There was air suspension fitted to my Mustang that I've returned to gas. Once the compressor or air lines fail then you just end up tyre rubbing and causing arch damage.

Air ride on a Supra... really.. I may as well just sell my car now.

Do it to a VW not a Supra...

The lift kits are a good idea... All out Air suspension... :( you would do better by spending 3k on a descent set of shocks and springs and getting them set up properly.

One of my mates brothers decided to get the Air performance kit on his VW "stanced" Daily driver (still not sure why) he keeps going on about selling the Air kit and going back to normal suspension.

Oh also the air pump gets really annoying after a while!

Wrong on both counts really, no point having a stock space saver if you run big brakes and larger wheels and if the system fails it returns to low setting so can not rub arches

Rider is getting his wires crossed with the bag type air ride systems. The springs on your car determine the ride height, not the lifters.

Do you know if there's much ride height adjustment on the spring platforms? I'd love one of these lift kits (although realistically I don't need one), was just curious about any downsides? except the obvious added complexity.
