Right, so if the word is out then here are my thoughts: Han Solos and Leas play was rubbish, full of stupid irony targeted to show that gap between movies but not thought about the actual STORY LINE! The chick carries the movie, but jokes from 1918 every 5 minutes kill it. And since when is Star Wars a comedy show? To be continued...

LOVELY!

As I mentioned before old school actors performance was a bit lame. Old Star Wars were a bit fast paced but this one was at warp speed man. A storm trooper deserted the army with the help of hostage pilot, stays with him in the cockpit for a few minutes while they are crashing the machine and then.... they meet again like best buddies on the airfield? WTF?

About the "jokes" and inappropriate phrases I can talk and talk ALL NIGHT as there were so many of them. And why resistance? A new republic exists why not republican army or something? It was great to see the millennium falcon but, to be honest, I was hoping they will crash it or something, this is star wars, a Sci-fi with epic storyline... This movie - epic blooper. As i mentioned before it is soo Disney I am surprised no one started singing in the middle of the field or fight.

The movie is a really bad version of A new hope? Does anyone agree?

Please note: This is my personal opinion, I am not trying to offend anyone (as I am a Star wars fan too) It was a massive job done making a movie, unfortunately I think not very good.

I can agree the story lines abit poor but I think that will all fall into place with the next films, I can only guess that rey is lukes daughter ?

I had Rey as being the other half of the Solo "Twins". We know that this trilogy isn't following the books so I thought that she was going to be the younger sibling of Ren.

My idea was that through fear of her following the same path as her older brother that she was put into hiding.

Skywalker kid works too, but that's one hell of a jigsaw to go about putting together and wouldn't make sense from a Fathers perspective.

I must have missed the bit about the solo twins, what made me think it was because of lukes light saber calling to her, but then later solos son said it was his so I clearly missed something .

The solo twins are a book affair. I'm not a big Star Wars book fan but I know little bits and bobs.

Ren came across as a spoiled brat so I think he felt entitlement towards the sabre from the master who taught him.

I just can't believe that they killed Han off so easy. I'm hoping he was saved before the planet blew. Kylo will be in the next one ;)

Of course he will. weren't you watching? Solo is the new Kenobi and Kylo is the anti-luke that will have his future forever impacted by the murder of his Father :p

Solo deliberately put his life in his kids hands as he was either leaving with his Son or dying in vain.

It's all planned out very nicely for the next instalment :)

To be honest I pretty much enjoyed the film but cinematically it did feel more like the new star trek films than the star wars franchise. I wonder why that is...

I can't agree. The lens flares were thankfully missing.

I absolutely LOVE the Star Trek reboot but the cinematography does my nut in with it. Star Wars was spot on for me on that front. I thought the fighter/xwing/falcon scenes were absolutely breathtaking. I literally let out a f** me at the first one :D

I mean I think his film schedule conflicts with Star Wars.

I would be surprised if that was the case. To be honest I think they needed something to really hit the audience and that was it. My mate thought it was going to be chewie.

I would be curious to see his schedule that would honestly see a new Star Wars sequel come 2nd best. In my eyes, it doesn't exist but I foresee a cameo ;)

out of all my friends. work, facebook, everywhere i know. you lot are the only bunch of people who dont seem to like it.

miserable bastards.

Im no huge starwars nerd. i enjoy the films. the new 3 were not great, but ok, spoiilt by not that great of a story and too much cgi. the origonal 3 were good films but over rated and looked upon with rose tinted specs. but this one was great. It carried on and borrowed from the older films very well.
