boostman
Does anyone know how or if the windows can be adjusted. The drivers side had a small gap like it need to go up another millimeter or two. I can just get my nail on the top of the glass and the glass has more flex than the passenger side making me think it need to go up a little more. After the rain the last few days water is starting to get in! Thanks for any advice
fastcar
Sounds to me like your seel may need replacing. Not sure if they can be adjusted or not but I'm guessing they could
Graham1984
Edit- I even asked http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?279713-Window-alignment&highlight=window+tilt+adjustment Like L18msy says you'll have to adjust the stoppers that adjust the height of the window. SupraP-Z
Adjusting these stoppers is a major pain in the ass to get sitting correctly. Adjusting them is easy, its getting the window to sit where it needs to be, took me 3 hours to get it to sit somewhat right. It either tilts too much to one side or the other...if it sits what seems to be perfect, it doesnt get a seal as well as it used to, and you can see the edge of the window or it sits inside the trim but literally a finger nail width inside. Spent ages playing with it and now ive got it to a point where it shuts and seals well, but when i close the door it catches the top trim ever so slightly, so i have to give the window a tiny push from the top (same way as you would close the door) for it to bevel in. PITA

PITA Nothings ever easy is it! I'll give it a go, did you keep taking the door card on and off to use the switches or did you remove the switches so the window can be operated without the card in place? Or Did you just leave it closed and adjust it like that?
SupraP-Z
I actually had a spare drivers door card that i took the switch out of and used that - made light work of winding it up and down. In your case, just take the switch out of the doorcard, cant remember if you have to take the armrest trim off, but its just a lot of screws, pretty simple - they are all the same too so no guessing which screw goes where. Otherwise its a proper faff, you'll need the space. If you manage to get it let us know! Mines still not 100%
ripped_fear
This is a job I need to tackle. My drivers door catches on the top to, and when putting it up at speed means the window doesn't correctly and gives wind noise, very annoying. May give it a go tomorrow if I get the chance. Graham1984
Be warned to all those that have their window catching mine used to do that, and I fully believe that where I had to assist the window to shut properly it helped strained the window regulator causing it to break (again). When you say regulator done you mean the motor or the controller?
Rob W
Yes it is a right pain in the arse. The drivers window reg went on our UK spec, cable snapped out of the plastic end making it drop. Took me atleast 2 hours to replace and re-align. Get a slight wind noise now so I'll need to have another pop at it at some point!
Graham1984
Same as Rob W, a small bit of plastic breaks and then the window drops- I replaced the whole regulator twice as it's pointless just doing parts.
boostman
The sun finally stayed out for a few hours! Adjusted and fixed the gap! Thanks for the advice. FYI, I only slackened the bolts and tapped them with a hammer and punch just a tiny bit at a time and checked the fitment. Also the wind noise has gone, I inserted a think rubber washer into the corner behind the seal so it makes.more contact with the glass (the top corner behind your head)
