Dan H
Hi guys I'm taking my Supra into the garage this Friday coming to have the larger Supra brakes fitted (directly replacing the smaller stock ones) and I've been supplied with: 4 pot front calipers (x2), 2 pot rear calipers (x2), Shim kit, Brake discs and pads (x4). and rear covers for the disc brakes(x2). Is there anything else I would need to get hold of before hand in order to do the conversion ? Dan
David P
You are missing the front back plates, yet it'll live without them. Maybe a good idea to change the flexi brake hoses whilst you're at it?
Dnk
Do a full brake fluid change while your at it

Dan H
Ah thanks Nic this was the one thing the dealership didn't supply me with. Will the fitting kit part clips from the existing smaller brakes not fit over the larger ones ?
Nic
Ah thanks Nic this was the one thing the dealership didn't supply me with. Will the fitting kit part clips from the existing smaller brakes not fit over the larger ones ? I'm almost certain the fitting kits for the pads are not interchangeable, hopefully someone else can confirm. trebor69
Can't for the life of me remember if the handbrake works on shoes and if they are they same.
Chris88
Fitting kit is not the same from J spec to UK spec (completely different) but the handbrake arrangement is exactly the same.
David P
Looks like the correct answer would have been, look at the Workshop Manual. The bolts may be different too?
alxns7
I rebuilt my calipers recently and did not see those fitting kit parts.. Can someone tell me what this is exactly? EDIT: after checking, those contain the front pad spacers as well as the anti-rattle springs Edited December 13, 2015 by alxns7 (see edit history)
