Repressed memory

Im hoping some over 40s can back me up here, my wife thinks Ive lost it....

While posting in the 'Whats your earliest memory' thread earlier, I remembered seeing on TV in the mid sixties, a film clip showing several half-naked women, cucified on crosses on a beach, being shot with arrows and moaning as though they were enjoying it.....I hope Id seen some art-house film, or am I as odd as a few think....looked on the web but no luck yet

PS, Im sober, and this aint a joke !

My late grandfather was an obsessive collector of all things classical. I often accompanied him to record shops and can remember, on many, many occasions, him asking about the film and if it was out on video.

For some reason, it has just stuck in my head. Right place , right time!

Interesting. I thought it sounded like something Ken Russell would do, because it isn't a million miles away from 'The Devils', in fact, initially I thought it might have been from that.

I had a search after I read the first post. I didn't find 'The Martyrdom of St. Sebastian', but putting 'crucified women' 'beach' 'film' into the search engines certainly turned up some disturbing sites.
