Guest AlmightyJu
So my poor old supra is showing signs of age I started hearing a faint relative thud/clunk, by the time I got home from work coming off the m4 (been cruising around 60-70) and started breaking it was loud as hell. So I got it in the garage, jacked the back end up and span the wheels and I heard the noise loud and clear from both wheels so the diff has poofed. I've changed the oil in the diff just to see if it helps at all and it was a lot quieter when i drove it around my house (could hardly hear it) but its still there, I haven't tried the m4 yet tho. When I changed the oil the piccy was what was stuck on the magnet, would some missing teeth cause a clunk? I'm a bit stuck for money till the new year so I'm wondering how bad and risky it would be to carry on driving it till then if I treat her gently. David P
Likely that won't go much further, N/A open diffs don't fetch more than the cost of a night out.
squiffy
I wouldnt risk it mate, The diff in my old aristo starting clunking and locked both rear wheels while I was in the middle lane of a carriageway. Not ideal! Lol
