clay
Im going to BPU my car. Do you think it would it make much differance if i have a 2.5" or 3" first decate pipe.?
mattdavies
Would be interesting, if its a J-Spec car then you are only going to restrict the exhaust gasses anyway.
Dim Sum
I would of thought so, t should be able to let gases flow better. Is this the second cat, we are talking about?

If you are going single then it be a different story.

listy
I have a 2.5inch exhaust all the way through on mine. I was recommended by Whifbitz to stick a 3inch on there to help the flow, but haven't done so yet.
fastcar
I have 3 inch decats on mine, but have to run a 2.5 inch restrictor to keep it around 1.3bar. I'm running hybrids now but I ran my j-spec at the same boost with no issue. I would just fit any size you have then fit a 2 inch restrictor ring

Scott
Go with the 3". It'll be much better for flow. I had a 3.25" system with 3" decats and it came on song like lightening. Needed a 2.25" restrictor ring IIRC though. The thing with the restrictor is that the flow is only restricted over a short distance (1/8th part) rather than the whole way through the system, once it's through that short distance..... it's free
