adnanshah247
Folks, And before you say it no, im not thinking of putting a flamer kit on the back of a Citroen Saxo and revving the nuts out of it outside Sainsburys in Dagenham. The flamer kit i was thinking of was going to go on the back of my Aristo, a proper proven 500hp+ 2JZ single. A simple coil and spark plug in the exhaust at the back. Singles often run rich and from my past experience on my old supra all you need to do is give a small blip of the throttle and you get a nice determined looking fire ball fly out the back, its really really cool! Give it a lil bigger rev and you can get 3-4 foot flames easily.... My question is, behind a saxo 1.2ltre yes it is chavy but behind a monster single turbo'd engine is it? Discuss Many thanks
Gaz6002
Yes. They make your car look badly tuned IMO
Style
Yes, they are chavvy no matter the car they are on if you ask me. If your Aristo is running standalone and you really want flames, just ask a mapper to put a little fuel in on the over run
j_jza80
Yes they're a bit chavvy, but who really cares? it's not like it will affect the way the car looks or drives, I wonder how many people who turn their nose up at them are running cheap coilovers, stretched tyres, silly camber etc? I wouldn't recommend you drive around with it on constantly, just for a bit of fun every so often. I personally wouldn't run one, though I will have a 'pops and bangs' MAP on my syvecs

ManwithSupra
I'm suprised that people need to ask that question A bit of flame on over run is good, 10ft flames coming out of the back from a flamer kit just looks pitifully awful

The Aristo overlords do not like this, and if your sick plan is carried out, we will move towards confiscation of said poor, unfortunate vehicle. johnny g
A flame is like a hardon. It should be achieved legitimately or not at all.

adnanshah247
i posted yesterday dont know why it didnt come up, holding the engine the engine at its rev limiter is unhealthy, TDI have just mapped my car and its perfect and getting the flame to pop as before i was advised can damage and crack the top of the piston. plus, i rather the car flame under my control ie an on/off switch than it spitting flames willy nilly and plod see it and stop me. still in two minds to be honest..... azam
I may actually do this myself, I have a real loud custom exhaust on my car atm and looking to put a blitz but spec r on early next year. So if I'm going to ruin a exhaust I might aswell do it to the one I have atm which is scrap.
