Interior dash lights just messed up! help!

Afternoon all, i just put my dash back into position for what must be the 10th time now, , lights seemed a bit dim, and the cig lighter light wasnt working so i decided to check the fuses. Pulled out the relevant one and its fine, also managed to pull out some other 10 amp ones, but replaced them. looked to be the bulb - tried pulling it out and it smashed, dont think the bulb can be changed on these, just come as a push fit unit with bulb attached. decided to leave it, so i changed the bulb in ash tray holder - put it all back together and something really odd is happening.

Ignition on number 1, my speedo lights come on (headlight stalk is off...wth)

ignition on number 2, the rest of the warning symbols come on (normal here apart from the right side which needs resoldering)

switch headlights on from the stalk and i hear a relay clicking, and my speedo lights turn off?! the rest of the dash lights are on

So its working the complete opposite to how it was literally 5 minutes ago. Seems to have swapped ignition live or something of the sort? what the hell has happened? Ill be driving at night time tonight and it means my speedo wont even be lit up when my headlights are on.

This also happens with the ashtray light, as soon as the ignition is switched to position 1, it lights up as well as my speedo (headlight stalk position off) then headlight stalk is turned to 1 for sidelights, speedo lights go off as well as the ash tray light, position 2 makes no difference, they still stay off. Its meant to be the opposite!

How do i rectify this?!

Something even weirder started happening, jiggled the main dash around a bit and when there was no key in the ignition, i turned the sidelights on and my radio came on?!

Took the main bit of the dash off, and now when the ignition is on, i get no speedo lights, as soon as i turn the headlight stalk to sidelight on, my odometer reading disappears...comes back on as soon as i switch the headlights off (still no lights on the speedo now regardless of key in or out)

There is no flicker from the relay anymore either

What the hell is going on :(

Basically the cigarette lighter socket has a little bulb on top/near it, that was blown so i tried replacing it but ended up smashing it - tiny little bulb. I just dont understand how this has gone so wrong. Im getting no speedo lights at all, no ashtray light either. fuses are fine beneath the pedals. My headunit is refusing to switch on even though there is power going to it, putting the headlight stalk on makes my odometer disappear. Heater controls are working as usual, car starts fine and headlights are working.

Wiring gremlins? :(

Make sure everything is connected, you could of damaged some wiring when you fitted your camera wiring?

The only part of the dash i removed was the bit where the heater controls and headunit sit, just loosened the rest. i installed the camera wired it up and have been driving 2 days with this part of the dash off with everything working as it should, then i when try change a simple bulb and connect that part of the dash back in i get this BS :(

Wild guess but is the broken bulb causing a short? if thas all you changed then id start with that

The bulb is inside a connector, i removed the connector itself from the loom, to eliminate a short from it.
