salaar
Hey guys, hope you can help. My interior lights were working but I was trying to test the external fog light out and didn't connect ground or neutral I don't think and then they stopped working. Not sure if the dimmer blew or a fuse, tried to look at a fuse diagram but the only one it shows which is relevant is dimmer/day light running lights which I don't even have. I've opened the dash yet I can't get the dimmer switch in the car to open but can't see any damage from the outside, I understand that'll blow first to save the dash. No lights are working, climate control or dials apart from the driver's window switch light. Also the fog light isn't working anymore. Any help would be appreciated. Style
A fuse will go before the dimmer switch so I'd place almost all my bets on it being a fuse. Drivers side under the dash, near the door there's an interior fusebox with a black cover on it. Pull that off and inspect the fuses. I had all my interior lights go out and just replaced the relevant one in that box and they came back on. The diagram is on the inside of the fuse box lid which should point to the right fuse. And just as a little side note/piece of information, there's a tool to remove fuses in the main fuse box in the engine bay. This is something I only just found out last week and feel like a right plonker for never noticing it before I've put a fortune in the swear box trying to pull them out by hand but that tool does it without any hassle. I'll probably get flamed for not knowing this but I guess you learn something new every day
np89
Bet your central locking doesnt work either. Fusebox in the engine bay there is a fuse called DOME. Its a 7.5amp. It will have blown
salaar
Thanks a lot guys! It was the panel fuse under the pedals.
SupraP-Z
Just for reference, do you know which fuse it was? Some of my interior lights have also stopped working, but not all - fuses seem to be fine
