Sheefa
Oh bugger. Just got married, just bought a Supra, just ordered a new company car outside the scheme and have an 8 month old little daughter......then this news dropped yesterday. http://www.insurancetimes.co.uk/zurich-uk-gi-unit-to-cut-up-to-440-jobs/1416224.article Not immediately at risk as part of phase 1, but on 6th January when Senior Leadership Team in situ my role will definitely be in scope. Not good Merry Christmas and all. Greg
Dim Sum
Look, it might not be you or your department. Chin up
marbleapple
Greg, sorry to hear that. Try not to worry too much. The insurance industry as a whole is doing well at the moment and a lot of companies are recruiting. Are you in underwriting or claims? tooquicktostop
As someone who was a VP at Lehman in 2008 when they went "pop" I can tell you that strong skilled employees always bounce back, I am sure you will be OK either way mate
Sheefa
Thank you all. I work as a Business Development Manager so Sales orientated role. Abz
Sorry to hear this Greg but I have no doubt you'll bounce back quick. Most of the cuts will most likely be from IT and other service departments, some of these cost a lot of money so as others have said not to worry. Loads of BD roles out there, so you shouldn't have any issues getting another if you have loads of experience, just get the most out from Zurich in support if it does go this way. Forced change is sometimes good
