Swampy442
OK so Ill open with - Does the J spec Supra (specifically the VVTI engines) cruise control limit the car to 110km/h? If so does a speedo convertor remove that limit? If not, does anyone know of a workaround to delimit the cruise? I seem to remember a mod you can do with Soarers to alter the cruise control but for the life of me cant find the info anywhere.
jamesmark
Not VVTI, but when I delimited (took the 110mph limit off) my J-Spec it also delimited the cruise as I sat once on a private road at 130 on cruise.
Alex_GT
I didn't know the VVTi cars had cruise control, was it an option or only available on certain models?
David P
If the cruise control circuit is same as non VVTI, the way to do it is to swap the J spec cruise control ECU for a U.K. spec cruise control ECU.
Swampy442
Its not for a Supra, but I assume the set up will be the same. I know on Mk2 Aristos a speedo convertor doesnt remove the cruise limit, but it does on Mk1's. I think its because the ECU architecture changed. j_jza80
None of the vvti Supras have cruise control. And from the little research I've done, the vvti Aristo cruise control system is totally different and incompatible with the non vvti. The only decent solution I could find was to install a Syvecs
