What I need to do si join the above wires together but as you can see they're different colours. I checked my local garage (indie) and they said that airbag wires aren't polarised but the 2014 airbag plug is different and can only be plugged in on one direction. Question is... Black to blue and red to red, or vice versa?
cered
Any ideas?
Style
Can you get the pinouts from the striped wire? I'm not sure what you're trying to do but the red and black wire just looks like +ve and -ve. Striped pin outs may give an indication of what goes where
cered
Best I could find: http://www.toyotaownersmanuals.com/book.item.4168/toyota-yaris-system-circuits.html Appears to be a US 2006-2011 Yaris. Page 127 Seems to say Y-B (Yellow blue / Yellow black?) is pos and Yellow is neg (http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j87/CivicRacingXperiment/Supra/100_1452.jpg - Supra harness mimicking this colour pattern) http://i1304.photobucket.com/albums/s526/Dmotley7701/20121110_192651_zps0fcdd4e9.jpg ^^here's how the yellow/blue translate to the red/black on a supra. so Blue or red cables = Pos I'd assume? A17 is this part; https://www.theplugdealer.com/shop?search=1514 The airbag connector for the harness connecting to the actual airbag. Will continue searching Edited November 10, 2015 by cered (see edit history)
cered
Going to take this to a Toyota tech and get their input. Lots of conflicting information online so I'll leave it to the pros. Will post my findings for reference
