FOSTA
Still looking at a polished FFIM for the supra as I'm just trying to clean up the bay and I think they look so much cleaner. Has anybody fitted one one of these and if so are they any good? So so I see most people are running the q45 throttle body but is there any other aftermarket throttle body I can use that will be trubble free? HarleyFDMD
I made a recent thread about using a Q45 on a ffim. Some people said they had done it and it had worked fine, others got very technical (which all went abit over my head tbh) but I think the general point they were making was that a Q45 is far bigger than necessary and will require a remap. From what I gathered from afew people a q45 is ok with a longer throttle cable, greddy tps adapter and a remap. Or another member suggested using the tt throttle body on the ffim, I guess you would just have to have a flange made up and welded onto the ffim that would support the tt tb
Luxluc
My GReddy intake plenum with Q45 works great. As said, a remap is necessary.
FOSTA
I was planing on getting it re-mapped anyways but I was hoping for a better looking throttle body but all I can find is cheap looking ones on eBay and I'm not sure if they would be any good? HarleyFDMD
I have recently purchased a q45 from eBay. £50 and it comes with the correct flange. It hasn't arrived yet but il let you know of the quality. Hopefully all il need is the greddy tps adapter and a longer throttle cable. Dim Sum
I have. I recently went single and I brought the Q45 and inlet manifold from ebay. I didn't use much of the fittings from the kit, I had the inlet welded to the runners so there's no chance of it leaking and the throttle works no leaks and its current BHP is 630. I know people will have there opinions on this but I think it depends on your luck and so far I have been lucky with the parts I brought from ebay.
