r2ck_p
Hi guys, I am getting an intermittent loud noise on start up and for a up to 5-8 seconds afterwards. I initially thought it might be to do with the power steering but the noise will happen even if the car stays stationary after start up. In order to solve the issue, I firstly checked my Power Steering fluid which was on the very low side (minimal reading on dip stick). Thanks to some forum member I noticed a leak from the O-Ring on the pipe that goes from the Power Steering reservoir to the pump. The O-ring was replaced, along with both the hoses which go to/from the reservoir. New P/S fluid was put in and I did the whole left/right turning whilst front wheels in the air. This didn't seem to resolve the noise. I finally managed to get a recording of the noise this morning so hopefully it will help. (Video Lnk Blow) Let me know what you guys think. https://youtu.be/qujIS4PYWcw Cheers Edited November 3, 2015 by r2ck_p (see edit history)

Havard
Yep, that is your crank pulley about to fall off!! This. New pulley required Rick. Good job they are cheap.......but not half as bad as having it fly all around your engine bay at speed. H.
