formatzero
Nice present! The BMW looks great, does it drive as well as it looks? The Bm was a real surprise, easy to drive ,almost silent and pretty quick, around 340 bhp, despite my reservations I liked it a lot.The R8 was always a dream car for me but fell short,a disappointment.Ferrari was a hoot on the track but for an everyday drive it would be the GTR,an awesome machine. Havard
Nice one Lockie. Done a couple of these and always felt these super money machines were all a bit of a disappointment. Drove an R8 a few weeks back and I have changed my mind, I wouldn't have one. BMW has been slated for not being much fun too. Never driven a GTR but may have to give one a try. H. It was a great day Paul ,they also had a couple of Gallardo's and a Porsche GT3 but i ran out of time!Have driven a Gallardo before so that was the reason it wasn't top of my list.I notice BMW are bringing out a faster i8 in 2016 450bhp but £150k.If i had the cash i'd have a GTR tomorrow, four seats and plenty of grunt, paddle shift was mega smooth. Grasmt
I was there from 2.30 onwards, was wearing my track and street grampian hoodie. Was coming down dark just as we were leaving. What did you think of the track? I recon it would have been better if it was longer, i felt i wasnt getting to see what the car really had in terms of power etc.

I am old school and don't do paddle shift. Seriously limits the choice of performance cars to choose from unfortunately. I just can't get used to that way of driving, although I do accept that it is generally quicker. H.
