ripped_fear
So wont go into how, but I will say someone is not in my good books. So my Alarm fob has gotten wet, not saturated but wet. The fob will not open the car, took it apart and replaced the battery and nothing still. The green light comes on for a few seconds then goes out. None of the 4 buttons will do anything. Have had it drying out in the house all day but just tried again and still no luck. When opening it up there is some moisture in it. Can open the car with the key but obviously the Alarm starts going off. Any ideas of how to get the fob working again?
Scooter
How long was the battery out? Have you looked up the model online as sometimes they need resyncing, an old one I had you had to hold two buttons 10 secs etc. Feel for you alarms seem to cause owners more hassle than thieves! Battery hasn't been out long, a minuet maximum. Left the battery in while drying just incase. Have no idea on what model but think it may be a- http://toadalarm.com/product/toad-ai606/ As all the parts I can see and the fob look the same as pictured. craig85
Sounds like you need a new fob, as far as I'm aware the fob is stored in the alarms memory due to the way they're programmed. Unless the alarm box itself is damaged, they shouldn't lose sync. New fobs can still be bought anyway, do you have the pin code?

And to resync the fob you need to get the LED to flash and you cant do that with the car armed.
craig85
I don't think so, you reprogramme it from an armed state (open the car and let the Immobilizer come back on) but I don't know how it would act with the alarm actually going off. You can get the pin code easily enough from dealers, as long as you have the serial number from the box. I wanted a spare fob for mine and had to go through all this
ripped_fear
Right God knows how, but just took the fob apart again and had another fiddle with it, but its now working. But this is an eye opener to prove I need another fob! Going to get one ordered this week.

Hitbox Junkie
I'd suggest drying it out moister and sensitive electronics don't mix well. Especially with battery's involved. All the best bud.
evinX
I used to have a toad alarm, went swimming and had everything in my pocket as I remember you hold a big button and do a certain sequence to get it to work. I wouldn't worry it should be fine, as it lights then goes out that means it still works. Need to reprogram it, google it and you will see how to. TOAD ai606 I think??
